Jiu Han provides turnkey engineering services such as plant electromechanical and clean room contracting. We comply with environmental regulations, align with international sustainability trends, and implement energy-saving and carbon-reducing measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In promoting employee environmental awareness, we encourage our staff and clients through advocacy and education to engage in various sustainability efforts, including office and factory greening, reduced administrative management, and less resource consumption, contributing to sustainable development.

I.Energy saving and carbon reduction.

Energy saving and carbon reduction is an urgent issue faced globally. Our company's environmental innovation management topics and action plans not only implement office environmental protection and establish the concept of employee sustainability but also actively use our expertise and experience to provide innovative smart building and plant energy-saving technology planning and services, offering significant support and service as clients move towards net-zero carbon emissions.

 Reduction Plan：

·   Replace energy-consuming lamps to save electricity LED focusing on products and adopting high-efficiency lighting with energy-saving certification, and promote turning off lights when not in use.

·   The air conditioning temperature in office areas is set to normal26~28degrees.

·   Office machines should be set to power-saving mode; promote turning off the main and peripheral power of electrical appliances or computer equipment not in use for extended periods to reduce standby power waste.

·   Turn off office lights during lunch and break hours for 1hours.

II. Greenhouse gases

The impact of greenhouse gases on extreme weather conditions is a significant environmental issue faced globally. Our company, although not a major energy consumer, is dedicated to reducing greenhouse gases, with significant efforts since 2022 year to implement ISO 14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory and management mechanisms. We aim to establish baseline year information to understand current trends and respond early, continuously estimating greenhouse gas emissions from our energy use as a reference for subsequent energy-saving and carbon reduction performance.

  Reduction Plan：

·      Promote a paperless policy and advocate the use of electronic forms to reduce paper consumption.

·      Encourage employees to bring their own reusable utensils to reduce the use of disposable ones.

·      Promote double-sided printing to reduce paper usage.

·      Through mobile device software and facilities, encourage colleagues to use video conferencing to lower the frequency of business trips and mitigate environmental impact.

III.Water Resource Management

Our company, being located in an office building, primarily uses water for domestic purposes,100%sourced from municipal supplies, and does not impact any water sources or catchment areas. Nonetheless, we continue to promote the following water-saving measures to conserve valuable water resources.

Reduction Plan：

·      When a leak is discovered, report it immediately to prevent water wastage.

·      Regularly inspect the building's water supply system pressure to ensure there is no abnormal water loss.

·      The outdoor irrigation system should be paired with a rain sensor to automatically stop watering when it rains, saving water for the building.

IV. Waste Management

Jiuhan's operational sites are all in office buildings, and the waste generated is all general domestic waste, with no hazardous waste produced. Adhering to government regulations, our company first sorts and recycles office-generated domestic waste and, if necessary, entrusts qualified external contractors to dispose of it; general domestic waste is collected by garbage trucks.

·      Execute business waste management according to legal regulations and implement resource recycling mechanisms.

V. Administrative Digitalization, Reduce Paper Consumption

To reduce paper usage and enhance administrative efficiency, Jiuhan is implementing a digitized operating system, electronic forms, and the following measures to cut down on paper use.

  Reduction Plan：

·      Activate standby energy-saving after work hours.

·      Advocate for double-sided printing or multiple pages per sheet, and encourage employees to reuse the blank side of paper.

·      Consolidate and disseminate internal company documents, and reuse file folders.
